It’s a great pleasure to introduce you to the heart and soul of Pench Jungle Camp. Staffed by some of the most dedicated and talented professionals within the industry. Ensuring your wildlife safari experience is as memorable as possible.
More than 90% of our staff is local people. We aim providing not only income to them but also working on increasing their skills. This in turn allows the employees to better educate their children, improving their futures and the futures of those around them.
Our team is a set of professional hospitality personnel, trained naturalists/rangers, courteous Guest Relation Executives, excellent chefs & F&B personnel and well-trained, co-operative staff
An ex Indian Army man, shifted to the jungles to follow his passion and spend his time in the lap of nature. He is the eldest member of the Pench Jungle Camp family. He has spent almost 2 decades in the Pench National Park.
He is an expert guide and naturalist. A passionate wildlifer and an award winning wildlife photographer.Surender, brings in creativity, professional skills and passion to provide a unique and memorable experience to our guests.
Ajay has been working in the field of wildlife since 1986, immediately after his College. Hereceived wildlife training course from Tiger Tops Nepal pioneer in Jungle Lodges in Asia ( Chitwan National Park &Bardiya Wildlife Reserve ), under famous Naturalist Dr. Chuck McDougal, A.V. James Edward and John R Edward.
He joined as a first Naturalist in Taj group of hotels (Gateway Tusker Lodge, Murkal,Nagarhole) Karnataka in January 1996. Then moved to Periyar Tiger Reserve (Taj Garden Retreat.Thekkady) Kerala in 1998.
He has assisted many international researchers and filmmakers in the field. Hehs closely worked with Kerala and Nepal forest departments, in various field programs including wildlife census and anti-poaching operations.
At presentapart from spending time with our guests in the Jungle and sharing his knowledge with them, heis actively working with many NGOs working for tiger conservation through the local community, in and around Pench National Park.
“Pat”, as he is known in the Tourism Industry, started his career as a Professional Safari Guide in the year 2004 when he joined Pench Jungle Camp.
A veteran in wildlife, having more than 15 years experience in guiding and birding. He has spent his lifetime in the Central Indian jungles exploring different national parks. Mr. Patil brings in the seriousness to enthusiast wild lifers by his guiding skills.
He is working with Pench Jungle Camp as one of our head guide and brand ambassador. When he is not guiding he is responsible for guides training as well as the smooth running of operations.
Guiding at competent levels is his top goal. He enjoys spending as much time with nature discovering the many things that animals have to offer. He believes that one can truly understand animals in their natural habitat when the animals finally ignore your presence and continue with their daily activities as if you are not there. This happens when the animals feel entirely comfortable in your presence. His love for animals and the bush comes naturally because he grew up in Nagpur close to Pench National Park.
I did chartered accountancy and worked in audit field for 5 years. Later realized, my heart felt need to lead a life along with the nature, so I came out. Am good at birding, am more fascinated about the avifauna and interested in Ornithology. I am part of a sea turtle conservation team for the past 12 years.
Done a survey in coastal area of Tamil Nadu on sea turtle distribution.Also volunteered in few nature conservation activities. Love to travel a lot and observe nature’s beauty in itself. My interest towards wildlife grew as my passion. Now guided by my passion I’ve turned into a naturalist.
Any guest wanting to focus on birding will not be disappointed in my company.
Monthung joined our team in 2012 as an experienced hospitality professional, and brings with him a wealth of knowledge derived from having spent six years in the hospitality industry.He often takes our guests for birding in the Jungle and our Private Eco Park.
Joined the Pench Jungle Camp team in December 2010. He ensures that all rooms and the lodge grounds are well maintained to ensure comfort to guests.
He is responsible for all the delicious meals at Pench Jungle Camp. Gopal trained under Veer Singh, our previous chef, and together they excelled in producing excellent gourmet cuisine for the guests at Pench Jungle Camp. Gopal loves cooking anything from chinese to continental. Gopal will also make sure that the kids are kept happy and well fed.
He is in charge of housekeeping and makes sure that all rooms live up to the 5 star standard expected at Pench Jungle Camp. Rohit joined Pench Jungle Camp in 2012 and comes from the local community. This was his first job and he has become a key member of the Pench Jungle Camp team.
